Happy Hank day!

  1. I used to love his work! But it's really gone downhill since his death. (Ha! That's a joke.)

Ham on Rye and Love Is a Dog from Hell were favorites. (As well as Women. And Post Office always lingered with me.)

There was an interesting critique I saw online some years ago, about the changes his editor was making to the posthumous work. Pretty arbitrary stuff.

    1. Septuagenarian Stew is the last book of his I got. I haven't bought any of the books published after his death.

His early novels are all great. Yes, Dog from Hell is probably the best poetry collection.

The 3 collections of his letters are also worth reading.
