  2. Good call on Cat's Cradle! That's my favourite Vonnegut.
Also, it was nice chatting with you again at TCAF. And O Josephine! is excellent! I especially enjoyed the Leonard Cohen and Wicklow Way stories.

    2. Oh, and I meant to say too that I loved and was moved by the mention of Gene Wilder at the end of Wicklow Way. I miss him. If you haven't seen it yet, one of his lesser-known films, and one of my favourites ever, is The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother, from 1975. Not only does he star in it, but he also wrote and directed it. Peak Wilder. Also starring his oft-cohorts Madeline Kahn and Marty Feldman. I love it.

  3. That Vonnegut portrait is terrific. And Cat's Cradle is my favourite of his works as well - have you finished reading it? Would you ever consider another prose adaptation, like you did with The Iron Wagon? I'd love to see a Jason Bokonon!

  4. Cat's Cradle is one of many books on my bedside table, waiting to be read. Usually they topple over during the night. I've read the two Fante books and Doppler. No current plans for adaptations, but if I run out of ideas, there are one or two novels I'd like to do.

The Vonnegut portrait and some drawings of other writers should be for sale soon on the Beguiling website.
