There's more to life

...than books, you know, but not much more. I'm on page 483 of A Light That Never Goes Out, Tony Fletcher's The Smiths biography.

Top 5 The Smiths songs:

1. This Charming Man
2. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
3. Half A Person
4. Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want
5. Girlfriend In A Coma

  1. I would just changed the 3 by "A Rush and a Push and the Land Is Ours". I've seen Morrissey live two years ago, it was amazing, he played a few song of the Smiths (including This charming man and There is a light...).

  2. Haven't seen Morrissey live, unfortunately, but watched Who Put The M In Manchester on youtube.
It's hard to choose only five Smiths songs. The Boy With The Torn In His Side should have been up there on the list, as well.

  3. My Salford Lads Club tshirt is one of my most treasured possessions.

How's the Fletcher book? I've been planning to read it.

All those songs are among my favorites. Some more favorites:
    Cemetry Gates
    Sheila Take a Bow
    Panic
    Ask

  4. It's a good book, very detailed; Johnny Marr knocks on Morrissey's door on page 193. Only Marr and Rourke talked to the writer. I guess we will have to wait for Morrissey's autobiography to get his side of the story.
