I remember liking Death Rides a Horse alright, but I bought it on a cheap DVD that paired it with another Lee Van Cleef western called Beyond the Law which I liked a lot better. Beyond the Law features Van Cleef as a criminal who ends up being asked to be the town sheriff while he's hiding out in a town waiting to rob it. Fun concept, and LVC is wonderful in it.Michael Avoliohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03438405541305952042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5789524189763910172.post-37942869885289281302012-12-28T10:12:22.982-08:002012-12-28T10:12:22.982-08:00Thanks. I guess I've just been lucky, then, not meeting any evil laughers. <br />In a film like Death Rides A Horse their only purpose is to laugh evilly, and then later probably be shot by the good guy. There's no ambiguity or much tension there. Evil is interesting, evil + stupid is less so.Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01541863702465505291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5789524189763910172.post-20428132013601700002012-12-28T08:34:13.116-08:002012-12-28T08:34:13.116-08:00Oh I've met plenty of evil laughers.
