I like the look of the panels I`ve seen - more primitive and pop arty than Fantastic Four.Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01541863702465505291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5789524189763910172.post-76300955676509910302014-06-11T00:25:51.240-07:002014-06-11T00:25:51.240-07:00I started reading Kirby just recently and it seems...I started reading Kirby just recently and it seems like the works I most enjoy by him are more orientated to kids. My favorite so far is Kamandi. It avoids the mass amounts of pointless exposition that plagues many of his works. (Text: Thor smashes through the wall! Panel: Thor smashing through a wall. Script: Thor says, "I just smashed through the wall" badguy says, "Oh no! Thor just smashed through that wall").Andrew Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01920453883505563551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5789524189763910172.post-23752029912398442902014-05-01T09:57:24.399-07:002014-05-01T09:57:24.399-07:00I've been wondering if Kirby is somone you can...I've been wondering if Kirby is somone you can read for the first time as an adult, or if you need to be an impressionable kid. It was maybe a mistake to buy the cheaper black and white Essential book. It loses something when it's not in colour.

The Brackett book sounds interesting.Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01541863702465505291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5789524189763910172.post-35210847156720552272014-05-01T08:51:56.087-07:002014-05-01T08:51:56.087-07:00I like the New Gods for Kirby, though the dialogue...I like the New Gods for Kirby, though the dialogue is bonkers.

I will check out MacDonald. Leigh Brackett wrote an excellent book called "No good from a corpse."Gabhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00012982476350160461noreply@blogger.com
